Hello, my name is Amanda Main. I currently teach 4th grade reading after an amazing year of being self-contained and teaching all the subjects. After moving from Illinois, I was raised in Jacksonville, FL and graduated from high school in 2014. I decided to stay home and get my associates degree in arts before attending a four-year college. Growing up I always knew I would be a nurse or a teacher so after completing my associates degree I made the decision of becoming a teacher. Making that decision made me travel to Huntingdon College in Montgomery, AL where I got to learn from the most amazing education professors and placement teachers. While completing my internship at ARIS, I got the opportunity to get hired at this amazing school and will be starting my 2.5 year here. Your students may have seen me as a 21st Century teacher, one of the Robotics Club Sponsors, and with our Robotics Team as one of the coaches.
I am so excited for your student to be in my room, and we are going to have a great year here at ARIS!
